House prices increased by 5.1% in the year to November 2017, according to figures published by the ONS. The main contribution to the increase came from England, where house prices increased by 5.3%. By November 2017 the average price in England stood at £243,000. Wales and Scotland saw prices rise by 4.5% and 3.6% respectively.
